Maintenance/Machine Maintenance Technician

IDEAL ELECTRIC COMPANY, a 121-year-old, independent American manufacturer of high-power, specialty electric motors, generators, power systems and controls seeks an experienced Machine Maintenance Technician who is a highly organized self-starter capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve company goals while upholding a culture of ethics, integrity, and excellence in everything we do. The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all machinery and mechanical equipment is maintained in optimal working order.  This position, based in our Mansfield, Ohio facility plays a key role in the manufacture and delivery of our quality products and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or certified equivalent
• Minimum three years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery, equipment, and tools in a heavy manufacturing environment
• Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
• Working knowledge and experience in basic plumbing and electrical disciplines
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
• Technical literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite, and ERP and CRM software
• Teamwork approach with excellent communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and time-management skills

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Machine maintenance course training certifications or education in a related field preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS AND WORK HOURS

• Daily minimum of 8 hours. Weekly 40 hour minimum
• Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime, and occasional weekends, holidays, and nights
• This position generally operates in the manufacturing areas of the facility
• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, copiers/printers, and phones
